“Dancing Queen”, do ABBA, é a música mais gay da história
Na apresentação do resultante, o site introduz as glamurosas figuras de Madonna e Cher nomeando-as “rainhas”. Madonna, porém, provou que possui mais realeza, cravando o nono lugar com “Vogue”; Cher, por sua vez considerada por muitos a definição de drag mesmo sendo mulher, ficou apenas três posições atrás, com “Believe”. Diana Ross, Chaka Khan e Donna Summer obviamente marcam presença na lista; a única escolha inusitada ficou por conta de Judy Garland, com o tema do musical Mágico de Oz “Over The Rainbow”. De acordo com o samesame.com, “alguma música deveria falar de arco-íris, não é mesmo?”, referindo-se ao símbolo do movimento gay.
Algo que chama atenção é a devoção dos australianos à estrela conterrânea Kylie Minogue , agraciada por duas vezes nos dez primeiros lugares. Outras celebridades que, como figuras públicas, atuaram contra a discriminação e o preconceito ao assumirem sua sexualidade abertamente – como George Michael, Elton John, Freddie Mercury, RuPaul, KD Lang e Boy George – não poderiam faltar.
